Women for Women International (WfWI) – Iraq Office, with support from the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), is pleased to announce the launch of the "Nisaa wa Al Salam" NISAAM Project. This initiative invites local Women’s Rights Organizations (WROs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), to apply for grants aimed at advancing women’s rights, promoting equality, and enhancing women’s participation in peacebuilding and decision-making processes. Grants will focus on various themes, including climate resilience, women participation, gender-based violence prevention, women’s economic empowerment, marginalized communities, and the Iraq Women, Peace and Security (WPS) National Action Plan.

We are offering grants, with a maximum of IQD 69,430,000 per organization, to support grassroots women-led initiatives across Iraq. We encourage applications from registered WROs and CSOs with experience in advancing the specified themes and a demonstrated ability to manage grants. Projects should be designed to address local needs, ensure women’s meaningful participation in decision-making, and contribute to the broader WPS agenda in Iraq.
