Location
Position: Researcher/ Consultant
The researcher/consultant leads the process of analyzing qualitative data collected through field research and preparing a policy paper based on the evidence and findings of the study. This role aims to produce high-quality research outputs that contribute to supporting economic equality in Iraq, implementing labor law, and providing evidence-based recommendations to aid decision-making.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop systematic questions aimed at achieving the objective of the policy paper, which is to identify gaps and challenges and arrive at key recommendations to assist the beneficiary in its work.
2. Analyze qualitative data resulting from (24) in-depth interviews conducted in four governorates.
3. Develop a methodological framework for data analysis and apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative analytical methods.
4. Draw conclusions, trends, challenges, and implications related to public policies.
5. Prepare a policy paper based on evidence, research findings, and consultations with stakeholders.
6. Provide practical and applicable recommendations that are appropriate to the local context.
7. Coordinate and collaborate with the project team to review the results and verify their accuracy.
8. Review and update the policy paper based on feedback from the project team and the organization's management.
9. Prepare a detailed report with graphs and charts.
10. Adhere to the ethical standards of scientific research, ensuring confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding policies.

1. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, social sciences, development studies, economics, law, or a related field.
2. At least five years of experience in research, qualitative data analysis, policy development, or advocacy.
3. Proven experience in preparing policy papers, research reports, or analytical studies.
4. Sound knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
5. Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
6. Previous experience working with NGOs, international organizations, or donor-funded projects is preferred.
7. Knowledge of governance programs, community engagement, public policy, and social accountability in Iraq is an asset.
8. Fluency in Arabic is required; fluency in English is an asset.
