Programme planning, implementation and staff management :-
- Lead and carry out assessment to identify context based appropriate CP/Education activities for the community people in consultation with relevant partners and authorities.
- Lead on developing detailed activity planning and implementing the CP/Education activities.
- Supervise the team members by assigning them daily/weekly work activities according to the priority and support them in order to reach to project objectives (through the empowerment of the CP and Case Management supervisors).
- Ensure the project is reaching the indicators.
- Ensure implementation of the activities in line with Child Protection Minimum Standards and relevant national/international standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles.
- Take account of gender, protection, the environment, and other important cross cutting concerns in programme design, implementation, and reporting; carry out activities in a way that reflects the needs of specific groups and individuals e.g. Children Associated with Armed Forces (CAAFs), Children with Disabilities and Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASCs).
- Be responsible for the implementation of the action plans and budget monitoring.
- Train the team in the theory supporting CP/education activities and the methodological aspects with the support of the CP PM.
- Participate in the Tdh CP team recruitment process and the revision of the job descriptions when needed.
- Ensure that the team has a clear and good understanding of the Tdh CP/Education mandate and project in Iraq and work accordingly.
- Organise and lead weekly multidisciplinary team meetings with the supervisors.
- Pay particular attention to the Case Management team and support them on day to day planning and tasks

Report directly to the CP Project Manager. Incidents and difficulties encountered with any Tdh CP/education staff must be shared. Weekly report has to be send to CP PM.
14. Participate with the CP Project Manager in the performance evaluations of the Tdh CP team.
15. Supervise and support the data base team in their responsibilities connected to CP.
Child Protection strategy
- Guaranty that the strategy of the CP/Education project is implemented, effectively and timely, with relevant authorities and in support to the Tdh CP team.
Capacity building
- Contribute and guarantee that the Tdh team is properly trained to be in a full capacity to support the project implementation.
- Organise, develop, contribute and monitor, with the Tdh team, a capacity building plan of action for whole CP /Education team.
- Build the capacity of the Case Management team, through training and coaching, and constantly follow-up on the application of the acquired knowledge
Advocacy
1. Highlight and develop with the Child Protection Project Manager as required an advocacy strategy that could support Tdh activity development or CP/Education issues response as well as IDPs /host community family issues.
- In line with Tdh position, advocates with community stakeholders, government partners and public services to mainstream CP in all their intervention in the communities.
Evaluation/monitoring
- Organise and support in collaboration with the Tdh CP team and the community leaders a base line survey at the beginning and end of the CP project implementation (with the support of the CP PM)
- Support and supervise the Tdh CP team in the development and implementation of other project evaluation/survey: psychosocial evaluation of children’s needs and parents educative attitudes at the beginning and end of the project.
Report 1. Ensure proper record keeping of all activities.
- Collects and organizes data from staff and provides a weekly and monthly report, submitted to the CP Project manager, including data analysis and project monitoring tools.
- Monitors on a regular basis and evaluates the relevance and the quality of the protection activities.
- Identify any major discrepancy/ delay that may arise in project implementation and report immediately to line manager.
- Keep proper records of expenditures and report on these to the CP PM.
Networking / External Coordination
1. Maintain liaison with the local government officials, other I/NGO’s and community based organization’s (CBO) at the community level to ensure their cooperation and coordination for effective implementation of the programme in the areas.
- Work in collaboration and consultation with the WASH (and NFI Distribution) projects, to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach between the 2 projects.
- Work in close collaboration and consultation with the government CP/Education structures and representatives, the local and community authorities and the other partners, in a progressive delegation approach to ensure local ownership.
- Participate in any cluster meetings to strengthen the child protection and education approach and responsibility.
- In general, make sure that a positive and professional image of Tdh is conveyed. In particular, ensure that Tdh’s mandate, thematic policies, ethics, values and views are followed in relation to third parties.
Risks and incidents management
1. Report to the Tdh CP PM and the field coordinator any security incidents and relevant geo political local developments in Shirqat and surrounding areas.
- Inform and supervise the Tdh CP team on security rules application, defined by the Field Coordinator.
Logistic and admin 1. Validate the purchases and material supply requests for his team.
- Prepare in consultation with his team the weekly movement planning.
- Coordinate with the logistic assistant any supports needed for the CP project.
- Ensure that logistic and admin procedures are respected and followed.
Qualifications Requested:
- Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences or similar Humanities Degree.
- Minimum of 5 years management level working in experience related Child Protection Project Management with NGO or INGO.
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English is essential.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Quality Team Management and Team Leader Skills.
- The ability to follow instructions and execute plans.
- Management capacity and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds.
- Strong cross-cultural communication and resilience skills
- The ability to work in unstable, uncertain or potentially dangerous environments, independently and in a team.
- The ability to build relations with communities.
- Computer knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
