
Context/Reporting line:
Under the general guidance of the Senior Programme Coordinator (Peacebuilding and Stabilization), and the direct supervision of the Programme Officer (Technical Cooperation). In particular, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Assist the Community Engagement and Policing (CEP) team and the administrative unit in arranging travel for CEP team members, consultants, and other relevant individuals involved in the CEP team programme implementation.
- Support the CEP team in organizing events and meetings, including coordination of logistical arrangements for venues, providing on site support, and following up in related actions (such as payments, and document collection).
- Assist project staff with informal translation of documents and review translations from English to Arabic and vice versa.
- Collect data from workshops, trainings and meetings for entry into the project database.
- Provide general administrative information related to the project as requested and draft minutes of meetings, reports (external and internal) and other routine written materials
- Liaise with other IOM staff members on administration, financial, logistical and operational matters to support project activities.
- Undertake other duty travel as required.

Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related from an accredited academic university or institution with two years of relevant professional experience, or
- Completed high school degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Ability to work well with colleagues from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Demonstrated commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and supportive approach to achieve results.
- Good computer skills including experience with relational database and Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, and rapidly changing environments.
- Experience in coordination with emergency response actors and working with coordination structures.
- Experience assisting in the flow levels of information between internal units, cluster partners, IOM, and other emergency response actors.
Languages:
- Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic.
- Working knowledge of any other language is an advantage.
