Founded in 2016, SHO has organized & executed programs throughout Iraq. including the provinces of Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad. It currently holds offices in Duhok and Mosul.

The finance and administrative assistant functions directly alongside the project manager and is essential to the efficient running of the organisation's financial and administrative processes. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including handling financial transactions and records as well as providing essential administrative assistance. It also requires a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and up-to-date financial records in close coordination with the finance officer.
- Ensure that all expenses are in line with the approved project budget and comply with donor requirements and contractual obligations.
- Support the finance officer in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial documentation in accordance with SHO’s policies and procedures.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and regular cash counts to ensure accuracy and financial accountability.
- Use accounting software such as QuickBooks to record transactions, generate reports, and support financial analysis.
- Assist in preparing documentation for donor reporting and audit processes.
- Provide administrative support, including office management and logistical arrangements for SHO staff.
- Organise and maintain both electronic and physical filing systems and documentation.
- Communicate financial and administrative policies and procedures clearly to staff members.
- Create, update, and maintain administrative records and databases, including letter trackers, inventory logs, and similar systems.
- Manage the organisation’s official letter database and ensure it is regularly updated and maintained.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager and provide administrative support as needed.
