JOB SUMMARY:
Community outreach is an integral component of CO, MHPSS, CP and GBV services provided by IMC. CW interacts with the community members at household and school level to promote activities. Reporting directly to the Community Worker Team Leader.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct household visits within the assigned community and collect basic information about population and issues.
- Discuss common integral outreach issues and refer cases to IMC services or encourage them to attend the appropriate facilities.
- Organize and conduct education activities and distributions with community, at the appropriate facilities.
- Conduct education awareness activities with the community either as waiting to access services or through household daily visits.
- Ensure that the community members are aware of any education campaigns, activities as well.
- Providing community feedback on educations and anu other related concern to the supervisor.
- Assist in educating community on the use of kits and other materials as distributed.
- Provide timely reporting as required by the supervisor.
- Assist in any other assessments or duty assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree is essential. Bachelor’s or diploma degrees would be an asset.
- Male or female Candidate is required.
- Ability to speak & write Kurdish (Badini - Kurmanji) and Arabic languages.
Experience:
- Good knowledge regarding outreach services.
- Previous experience in delivering information or teaching.
Competency:
- Fluency in Arabic and Kurdish, ability to communicate effectively verbally and writing in.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills necessary.
- Understanding of community based programming.
- Ready to take initiatives with teamwork.
- Information seeking with analytical thinking.
- Local resident of the targeted area.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic , communication skills and Strong leading skills.
- Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, prioritize work under pressure.
- Work closely with direct supervisor to smoothly implement the community outreach services.
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility, motivation, and maturity.
- Attention to details, well organized and driven to results.
- Respect the code of conduct and policies of the IMC and the standards.
Other:
- Travel on regular basis within Iraq and KRI areas.
