Casual Worker - Psycho-Social Support (PSS) Worker - Salahaddin/Balad
Conduct a variety of structured and unstructured activities (recreational, psychosocial, and informal skills training) for beneficiaries, which cater to different psychosocial needs and interests of different beneficiary groups (adults, adolescents, and children);
Prepare for structured psychosocial support activities by carefully curriculum guides and preparing all required materials and equipment in advance;
Facilitate the participation of all segments of the target population in the planned activities to ensure the involvement of the most vulnerable groups;
ensuring that throughout all activities appropriate attention is given to specific emotional and physical needs;
Monitor beneficiaries' progress during psychosocial support activities and identify persons with unusual changes in behavior or other signs of psychosocial distress for referral to a caseworker or psychologist;
Carry out all tasks respecting key safeguarding principles including but not limited to: do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality, and accountability;
Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Education and professional experience:
University degree in a related field (social work, psychology, etc.);
Two years of relevant work experience;
Strong knowledge of psychosocial programming in the humanitarian context.
Competencies: (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
