Description

Context/Reporting line:

This position will contribute to the project objective of improving SC support to IDPs, returnees, and the host community in Iraq, improving their overall resilience and well-being by learning Agriculture skills for different ages and groups in the community.  Through this course, participants from different neighborhoods of Rumannah will acquire skills to improve their talents.

 

Under the overall supervision of the Programme Officer (Peacebldg&Stabilizatn), the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office (HoSO), and the direct supervision of the Area Coordinator in close coordination with National Programme Officer, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  1. Support participants in learning new skills and steps on how to develop them.
  2. Prepare agenda for two months about agriculture tools and topics.
  3. Facilitate icebreakers, energizers, and structured awareness sessions with the FP.
  4. Training to adopt a participatory and elicited methodology that encourages trainees to fully participate in the workshop with their personal experiences, questions, ideas, and input.
  5. The training sessions will be evaluated at different levels and demonstrate different evaluation methodologies.
  6. Deliver reports at the end of the training with recommendations.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education:

  • Diploma/certificate in Agriculture or another relevant discipline from an accredited institution with 3 years of professional experience.

 

Experience and Skills:

 

  • Experience working in the humanitarian or educational sector as an agriculture trainer, with a minimum of one year of professional experience involving mental health, psychosocial support, and social cohesion programs.
  • Experience in various tasks in capacity building/training, specializing in agriculture training.
  • Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of people including people of culturally diverse backgrounds, people with disabilities, and especially youth.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in Arabic is required.
  • Good knowledge of English is an advantage.
