TAD was established in 2004 as a local Iraqi non-profit and non-governmental organisation with a focus on Peacebuilding, good governance and developing and promoting democracy.
 
Since TAD's official registration in Iraq, TAD always served in the front line, in line with regional needs for peace and development, in this regard we have served in various fields and sectors;  always seeking to increase our knowledge and expand our activities for the greater benefits of the most affected communities and to meet their requirements whilst addressing the most salient challenges.
 
Our organisation has been responsible for planning and executing more than 44 projects during the past few years, In Iraq in general with a focus on: KRG, Nineveh, Salaheddin, Baghdad, Anbar and Diyala. These projects mostly focused on: Protection, Education, Livelihood and Social Cohesion whilst implementing programming on engendering and promoting democracy.
Some of our partners and donors included:
UNDP, IOM, USAID, UNICEF, NED, Oxfam, GiZ, PAX, Konrad, ICAN, SFCG, Triangle, FAO and NPA etc.
 
Based on TAD's ethics and ethos, objectives and vision all our programming ensure gender, ethnic and religious equality.
Therefore, TAD has established policies related to equality, which serve as the fundamental foundations of all TAD programming and implementation.
