Description
Under the direct supervision of the project assistant, the project intern has to support the following tasks:
- Mobilize community participation in project activities; encourage active engagement and ownership.
- Establish connection with community communities and mobilize community members to engage in community-based Committees activities.
- Participate and assist in the organization of project events (practical training and workshops on collaboration between the local actors and communities, consultations with communities and leaders etc.)
- Engage in project monitoring activities as relevant.
- Respond and adjust to flexible activity scheduling, logistical constraints related to public space management, or social dynamics involving the community and its expectations.
- Ensure timely completion and effectiveness of project interventions.
- Conduct other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Terms of Reference Form 2023 - To attend training and capacity building cycle on different topics including but not limited to, Code Of Conduct, Safe Programing, Safeguarding, confidentiality, and others related topics
- Uphold Oxfam`s code of conduct, Safeguarding and ensuring that all persons of concern are treated with dignity and respect, in accordance with humanitarian principles and human rights standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Political science, social studies, or any relevant educational background.
- Zero to one year of work experience in the same position or field.
- Fluency in the Arabic Language and good English is a plus.
- Time management skills and effective problem-solving skills required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work with both community members as well as local authorities in a sensitive and respectful manner and ensuring that all community members are represented.
- Willingness to work in all areas of Anbar province.
- Familiar with different districts context.
- Must work well within ethnically or religiously diverse groups.
- Basic level of proficiency in Word, and Excel.
