The MEAL Assistant main job will be the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), supporting implementation of the overall MEAL system. S/he will assist the MEAL and project team with activities, including data collection, database management and analysis, implementing post-distribution monitoring (PDM). The MEAL Assistant will support all efforts for promoting a high level of beneficiary accountability, and will manage the feedback mechanism. The MEAL Assistant will work closely with the PM to support data entry and management as needed. Over all goal is to ensure learning and accountability systems are working effectively in the implementation
Conduct focused group discussions with beneficiaries
Conduct interviews with beneficiaries to understand the problems and issues faced by them
Visit training and skill building sites and conduct transaction monitoring
Support in data cleaning and run basic analysis for transforming data to information
Be effective in communicating key monitoring messages with beneficiaries and stakeholders in the field
Desirable
- Previous experience in Iraq
- Arabic or Kurdish is needed
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES : the role holder will be expected to abide by AAF’s policies and procedures throughout contract length.
