Description

Project Implementation:

 

  1. Provide technical and program performance management support to livelihoods component of the project with a focus on sustainable livelihoods component involving market-linked, inclusive climate smart livelihoods development.
  2. Contribute to CCR’s continuing development of our Food Security and Resilience strategies and technical approaches
  3. Ensure complaint implementation of sustainable livelihoods activities with CCR’s Livelihoods Activation SOP
  4. Contribute to the design of market assessment and value chain study tools and follow up data collection and analysis.
  • Daily follow up of the implementation of livelihoods activities in the field including delivery of technical business trainings, review and evaluation of business proposals and distribution of livelihoods (re)activation grants and support to SMEs. Furthermore, oversee the vocational and on job trainings to selected candidates and follow up on job placement efforts. In all trainings, ensure compliance with timetables and precocious measures to mitigate the risk of COVID-19.
  1. Lead the cooperation with Directorate of Labour and Social Affairs (DoLSA) in Anbar, arrange delivery of trainings utilizing DoLSA’s available curricula and seek accreditation when and where possible.
  2. Contribute to developing of learning/ training curricula by enriching the content with technical inputs and developing training timetables.
  3. Liaise with local business associations and propose initiatives and cooperation protocols that would help in job placement.
  4. Representation of CCR to various stakeholders (together with the mission management). This includes reaching out to donor’s representatives, cluster coordination and coordination with local authorities.
  5. Promoting CCR and ensuring the CCR’s visibility
  6. Compile lessons learned, identified best practices, participate on development and update of relevant tools, guidelines and manuals, local expert pool and expert resources.
  7. Identify and design ideas for further livelihood and agricultural programming in the area.
  8. Work closely with the food security and livelihoods cluster, agriculture working group, early recovery working group when requested by line manager.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation:

 

  1. Closely cooperate with M&E units of CCR and donor to ensure that Monitoring and Evaluation activities are conducted as per of the project logical framework.

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional-level experience working in livelihoods sector such as Cash for Work, Job creation, Business development
  • University degree in business, economics, engineering, or other relevant fields.
  • Previous experience with INGOs.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English and Arabic language skills are required. Fluency in Kurdish is desired.
  • Good communication and dialog skills.
  • Experience working with NGOs and demonstrated knowledge of humanitarian standards and codes of conducts.
  • Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility;
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Project Management software;
  • Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, strong community outreach skills, detail oriented, honest, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a team.
