About the job

Access aid foundation (AAF) is willing to recruit a Field Officer (FO) in Salahaddin governorate to supervise service delivery to Al-Salam, Yengeci, and Tuzkhurmatu territories via a mobile clinic. The field officer is responsible for supervising and leading medical teams on the ground throughout the project phases. Moreover, He/She is required to deal with the ad hoc tasks at the field level in collaboration with the line manager. 

 

 

Reporting structure

The FO will be receiving reports from the field team and reports directly to the AAF Health Project Manager (PM) or any other designated person appointed/instructed by the PM.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and submit daily clinic data routinely.
  • Ensure addressing field team needs in a timely manner.
  • Provide administrative and technical (at some points) support to the field team within the given scope.
  • Strive to lead the team to deliver high-quality health services in adherence with the followed protocols/guidelines.
  • Lead the daily service delivery in line with the set work plan.
  • Meet all the deliverables and the deadline of the milestone which are set in the project timetable.
  • Ensure that all the stages in the implementation procedure are going well.
  • Responsible for providing logistics, accessibility and planning support to the mobile clinic
  • Supervise and support the site visits, arrange and manage for all the field activities with the Health PM.
  • Reporting daily to the health PM; providing monthly reports, and data management.
  • Responsible of the documentation data collection such as, videos, photos, successful stories, and any other needed documents with consent forms.
  • Assist in the training that will be held for the staff and the medical parties.
  • Public Relation Management, by establishing maintaining professional relationship with the key stakeholders (local authorities, other organizations, community leaders…etc).
  • Build a referral system internally and externally. In addition, to insure that the referral process is going well and report all the referred cases.
  • Responsible for the governmental relation in the area, and providing any official letter needed.
  • Logistics Management, responsible for all AAF equipment in the field, applying for Purchase Request and any other needed requests, and providing logistic field needs.
  • Attend all the meetings at the field level.
  • Assess the safety and security of the teams and report accordingly
  • Ensure staff commitment to the AAF code of conduct and policies, and report any suspicion.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Health professional (physician, pharmacist, biologist, nurse, paramedic…etc) or any other relevant field with health management experience.
  • At least two years of experience working in the Health Field/Management in a humanitarian/recovery context. 
  • Based in Salah al-din (within the mentioned areas).
  • Ability to effectively use computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Good in spoken and written English, and Arabic is a must.
  • Familiarity with the medical environment in Iraq.
  • Able to prioritize clearly, oversee multiple tasks and multiple projects, and set clear objectives for staff and delegates.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Act as a reliable and supportive team member.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
  • Experience with recruitment and procurement.
