Description
The Field Coordinator (FC) will be based in Kirkuk with daily field visits to project locations. FC is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of the project and operations’ activities.
S/he will assist the Program Director with the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all the activities conducted in the area of pertinence. The position will be reporting to the Program Director.
KEY JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direct Supervision of Program Director; Field Coordinator will lead, manage and supervise KHRWs’ Programs and Operations in Kirkuk.
- Communicate all issues identified in the field to the Program Director as soon as they occur.
- Identify operational needs (material, logistics, financial) at field level on a weekly basis and coordinate the response with relevant support departments in close cooperation with the Program Director
- Establish mechanism to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the field activities and ensure coordination and info sharing among the project components and stakeholders
- Under the supervision of the Program Director, collect and deliver all the required financial and HR documents to admin/finance assistance
- Regularly monitor field staff presence and eventual gaps during project implementation and immediately report any breach of code of conduct to the HR department and line manager
- Prepare a weekly activity report for each field location to be shared with the Program Director
- Represent the organization at general management meetings and timely share outcomes with Program Director
- Liaise with local/national authorities and other actors as needed to facilitate achievement of project objectives
- Perform any other task assigned by the Program Director to support and improve the project/mission
- Communicate all issues identified in the field to the Program Director as soon as they occur.
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, management, computer science or any related field is preferred.
- NGO or international development experience is compulsory.
- Experience of project management is essential.
- Experience of difficult security contexts is highly desirable.
- Communications and representational experience is desirable.
- Fluent in Arabic and good command in English.
