Description

Selection of CFW Participants and Delivery of Basic Skills Trainings:

  • Work closely with CCR’s field staff (CFW Officers, CFW Team Leaders and Community Mobilization Officer) on organizing community sensitization meetings in targeted communities.
  • Cooperate with CCR’s Communication and Public Relations Officer on developing online registration tools for CFW participants and organize online and media promotion campaigns.
  • Cooperate with M&E unit during beneficiary selection based on Socio-Economic Vulnerability Criteria.
  • Lead liaison with Directorate of Labour and Social Affairs (DoLSA) to delivery basic skills training in targeted communities to selected participants and supervise the delivery of trainings and ensure compliance with timetables and precocious measures to mitigate the risk of COVID-19.
  • Organize graduation ceremonies and certification process.

 

Prioritization and Design of Community Projects:

  • Lead the liaison with local authorities (mainly municipal services) to identify gaps in delivery of basic services and propose most relevant community projects in targeted communities.
  • Work closely with CCR’s community mobilization officer and field engineers and technical municipal personnel on technical designs of proposed community projects, BoQs and timetables.
  • Interdepartmental coordination to initiate procurement of necessary materials and contracting for outsourced services.
  • Propose key performance indicators for selected community projects and propose means of verification.

 

Implementation of Community Projects though CFW:

  • Provide technical input and direct supervision of the implementation of CFW and community projects components of the project.
  • Ensure complaint registration of beneficiaries and transparent selection process by coordinating efforts with M&E and Cash Working Group
  • Ensure complaint CFW activities with CCR’s CFW SOP in terms of attendance tracking, work norms and tasks assignment.
  • Follow up with operations on the cash out process through money transfer agency in close cooperation with finance colleagues.

 

 

Monitoring and Evaluation:

 

  • Closely cooperate with M&E units of CCR and donor to ensure that Monitoring and Evaluation activities are conducted as per of the project logical framework.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional-level experience working in livelihoods sector such as Cash for Work, Job creation, Business development
  • University degree in engineering or other relevant fields.
  • Previous experience with INGOs.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English and Arabic language skills are required. Fluency in Kurdish is desired.
  • Good communication and dialog skills.
  • Experience working with NGOs and demonstrated knowledge of humanitarian standards and codes of conducts.
  • Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility;
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Project Management software;
  • Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, strong community outreach skills, detail oriented, honest, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a team.
