Al-Ghad is a non-governmental, national, humanitarian, independent and non-profit organization. It was founded in 2004 and obtained registration from both KRG NGOs Directorate and Federal Government in Baghdad. Ghad has been working in the front lines of crisis, disaster, and poverty in Iraq for more than 16 years. Our vision is to developing human rights situation, combating violence against women, providing a safe environment for children, presenting legal aid to the vulnerable groups and advocate on behalf of the local community. We also work to transform the lives of children on the edges of society – abused children, refugees, child laborers – and help them regain their rights and pursue their dreams. As a part of our vision, we work to increase social cohesion among communities, especially conflict-effected communities through projects, training, and events that are related to peacebuilding, reconciliation, conflict resolution, peer support, women and youth empowerment. In more than 5 governorates in around Iraq, over 250 team members work side by side with people living through poverty, disaster, violent conflict and the risk of mines post ISIS. Our headquarter is in Kirkuk, We also have 3 base office in Mosul which our team actively working to provide public awareness to people as well as to develop the city, empower women, build a stable and safe life post conflicts. Our humanitarian work saves lives and has transformed the future for millions of families, but there is still much to do. Al-Ghad is working in partnership with UNICEF, WFP, UNFPA, PAX, The Halo trust, IHFOCHA, UNMAS, Oxfam, HANDICAP, IREX, UNOPS, WVI - Government of Germany. Geographical areas of Ghad are Kirkuk, Diyala, Mosul, Anbar, and Salahaddin Provinces.
